18 x 24 I met this little beauty on Valentine's Day, while working at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art, where I love to spend my Sundays as a volunteer docent. She was with her mom and I was so inspired--I just had to ask permission to photo and paint her. Let me tell you, she was a JOY to paint...until I got to the face! At first attempt she was looking older than her real age of two. Many stressful frustrating and millimeter brush strokes later--I was happy with the final result. It's not perfect for sure, but I do love the loose gesture of it all. Sweet, stylish Mia!
