About the Artist
I've always been amazed by the way people can express their thoughts, feelings, and emotions through art and, alternatively, how art can elicit such vast thoughts, feelings, and emotions. I have casually been taking some sort of art class for most of my life and have arrived at a point where the influence of many wonderful and creative teachers has culminated in my own personal art style--which brings me joy!
It is not always easy work--there have been many moments of struggle and despair, but I keep finding myself at the easel, therefore, it must be a passion. I’m grateful for the support of my family and for many blessings in my life that allow me to follow my passion.
Gigi is formally trained as a cardiac nurse and informally trained as a mom & an artist. She has gleaned instruction and guidance from several wonderful art teachers over 20 plus years at local art centers and community colleges in Wisconsin, Minnesota, northern California and Bainbridge Island, Washington. She currently lives on Bainbridge with her family.
