12 x 16 Summer has kept me busy painting with little time for blogging. Plein air painting (painting out on location) can be just as frustrating as it is fun. The setting, sunshine, picnic, and companions can bring such joy! The changing sunlight on the subject, the canvas, and the palette can stir up pure confusion. Some touch-ups are done at home from a photo. This painting was done at an historic Bainbridge property that used to be a strawberry farm. The painting is not perfect, just like the subject.
